Antibacterial GM–1 inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, both normal and antibiotic-resistant strains. The minimal inhibitory concentration to S.aureus is 0.98 microgram/ milliliter, GM–1 was found to effectively kill the bacteria.
